The Michael Jordan Story

Young Michael Jordan was a head shorter then than the rest of the high school kids from the basketball team.

Little wonder then that he didn’t even make it to the high school basketball team.

However, Michael loved basketball and he never stopped trying to get into the team. He kept talking to the coach to give him a chance to be on the team and he was willing to do anything to achieve that.

Today Michael Jordan is the NUMBER ONE basketball player in the world. He is also NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) for 6 years and has become a player worth millions of dollars.

How did he earn so much money?

The key question is:

“Did he do it while aiming to earn millions of dollars?”
or
“Did he do it while aiming to become the NUMBER 1 basketball player in the world?”

The answer is obvious!

From young M. Jordan had always wanted to become the No 1 basketball player in the world.

He wanted to Be someone, and he is willing to Do whatever it takes to be that person. When he has done that, he will Have whatever he wants and that includes his millions worth of wealth.

His desire to become the BEST basketball player was so strong that he actually grew so much taller then when he started in the earlier years.

The same stands true in life.

Many people aim to Have big cars (E.g. Mercedes Benz), a big house, lots of cash. They then go out to Do whatever it takes to have those material stuff so that one day they can Be someone of recognition and status.

Little do they know that when they use material stuff as a goal in life, what happens instead is that instead of having a Mercedes Benz, they will start to downgrade.

Their Mercedes becomes a Honda; and their big house becomes a smaller house. The list goes on…

To summarize, all successful achievers in life start out with a goal to Be someone. They then Do what it takes to become the person and they will end up having what they dream of. Be, Do, Have!

Thus if you want to be like our Senior Minister Lee Kwan Yew, you must Do whatever he did to become who he is today. If you fail to do anything that he has done in the past that has contributed to his success today, you will definitely not end up like SM Lee, don’t you agree?

The point in this, when you do everything he has done and become SM Lee, you would then have anything you wanted to have, wouldn’t you?
