Angel Is Most Beautiful Mum-To-Be 2005

On 7 May 2005, our Dreams Inc product testimonial, Angel was crowned Most Beautiful Mum-To-Be 2005 at Plaza Singapura at a contest held jointly by Capitaland and OSIM.

I never thought I would be a beauty queen!
For Angel, the thought of becoming a beauty queen has never crossed her mind.

“I used to be plump and tried so many ways to lose weight. At my most heavy, I was 75kg and I am only 1.65m tall. Wearing a bikini was something I would NEVER do, not to mention taking part in a beauty contest!”

Lost 15kg in 2 months AND maintained it for 3 years!
But after she discovered a complete health detox in 2002, our fantastic product testimonial lost 15kg within 2 months and changed from a hefty 70kg to a svelte 55kg.

“I think weight loss is easy and achievable. What is most difficult is maintenance!” But with the help of some health foods, Angel says she has continued to maintain her shape and figure for the past 3 years!

Her secret to winning the title
So what’s her secret to winning? Says Angel, “I won the contest with a lot of support from my friends and associates. Especially the outstanding cheerleading team from Rich n Yang!”

Asked if the particular detox products helped, her enthusiastic reply was, “Of course!”

VP and IF helps to keep her radiant “I take 80-100 VP and 1 IF everyday and that is how I maintain my vitality and radiance throughout my pregnancy…. In fact, my fellow contestants keep asking me how I keep myself so full of energy because many of them whose tummy are even smaller than mine are feeling lethargic all the time while I am jumping around and telling jokes… My sponsor keeps complimenting on my radiant skin too!”

Her secret to a healthy baby and an easy pregnancy
To a mother, the health of her baby is also vital. According to Angel, those particular products also helped to keep her baby healthy without any need for her to take additional supplements from the doctor. Perhaps this is also why she has a relatively easy pregnancy.

Drinking filtered water and with its use together with a good fiber product, Angel claims that she does not suffer from constipation like most pregnant women.

“Active use of a good mask also helped my skin to glow positively throughout the contest… No unsightly break outs, no food cravings… and I think all these make my husband very happy.”

Well, looks like she takes care of herself well and will have not problem going back to her slim, svelte self after delivery.

PS: Angel has since delivered to a healthy baby boy on 25 June 2005. You can read more about her son HERE.

Reality is just a point of view

Two students standing beneath the flagpole of the faculty building were engaged in a heated debate.

"But can't you see that it's the wind that is really moving and, in its movement, making the flag curl and flap?"

"You are mistaken," the second student replied, "because you cannot see the wind. How then can you conclude that it is making the flag move?"

A philosophy professor who happened to be passing by decided to interrupt the conversation. He approached the two students, took a draw on his pipe and said, "I'm sorry gentlemen, but have you ever considered the following argument: it is your mind that both flaps and moves."

................................................................................

What did the professor mean?

Was he offering a solution to the problem of the two students?

Yes, in the form of a profound truth: nothing is as we see it, because our minds create everything that we see, at the moment we see it. As such, there is no other reality than our self.

This theory, called a solipsism, is doubly useful. On the one hand it protects us against faulty appearances.

On the other, it indicates a path to self knowledge. That's because if my mind affects everything (is, in fact, everything) then studying what is real is the same as studying my own being

"Reality is just a point of view." Philip K. Dick

................................................................................
Note from Angel: I watched a movie called What the BLEEP do we know and it invited many scholars and academics to prove solipsism! ;) It is REAL ok! THey conducted a study where they had people look at the movement of a ball and they tracked their brain waves when that happened. Then they asked these people to imagine it happening and tracked their brain waves and the results is the same.. WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS WHAT YOU WILL 'SEE'!
Do you have a DREAM to fulfill?
Do you need help to BELIEVE that you can fulfill it..
Or maybe you do believe BUT NEED TO FIND A WAY?

Prosperity Doesn't Mean Limitless Spending

For many people, old feelings of deprivation stimulate theurge to buy whatever they want in the moment.

This type of impulse buying often covers up feelings, just as overeating, drinking, or using drugs can do. Unfortunately, the shopping high doesn't last, especially when the bills come in.

People who struggle financially often think that being wealthy means being able to buy whatever you want. The fact is, those who manage to build individual fortunes usually exercise considerable spending restraint and choose instead to put disposable income aside. That's what builds surplus!

I know people with rather limited incomes who enjoy their lives and never feel deprived. They make conscious decisions about how they want to spend their money and put money aside for entertainment and trips. They also have an emergency fund.

At the same time, I know people who make substantial incomes--well over $200,000 a year, yet they feel limited and deprived because their want list is huge and no matter how many things they buy, they still want more.

One of the secrets to living a prosperous life is learning to experience the feeling of satisfaction. If you don't know how to do this, you'll always be dissatisfied with what you have and what life brings you. To learn the experience of satisfaction:

1. Think about something that satisfies you. It can be abeautiful sunset, being with someone you like, walking your dog, sitting outside on a beautiful day, looking at the stars, or anything else. It doesn't have to be anything grand. Simple and satisfying is fine.

2. Close your eyes and breath deeply while you allow the feeling of satisfaction to fill all of your cells. Try to identify the feeling of satisfaction in your body. As you do this, repeat to yourself, 'I am satisfied.'

3. Write out the words 'I am satisfied' and place them where you can see them often. When something happens during the daythat feels good to you, say, 'I am satisfied,' and allow yourself to experience the feeling. If the critical voice inyour head tries to negate your satisfaction, tell it, 'Thanksfor sharing, but we are satisfied at this moment.

'4. If you find yourself grumbling a lot about what isn't rightin your life, take a moment and think about something that satisfies you. If nothing does, then do something to change that! It's not the world that isn't working, it's the way you are looking at it.

A Piece of Cake!

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?"

Here's a wonderful explanation!

A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."

Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers.

"Yuck" says her daughter.

"How about a couple of raw eggs?"

"Gross, Mom!"

"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"

"Mom, those are all yucky!"

To which the mother replies, "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

Life works the same way. Many times we wonder why we have to go through such
bad and difficult times, not being able to envision our greater surroundings. All things work together for a common good.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Hope your day is a "piece of cake!"

The Law of the Seed

Take a look at an apple tree.

There might be five hundred apples on the tree, but each apple has just ten seeds.

That's a lot of seeds!

We might ask, "Why would you need so many seeds to grow just a few more apple trees?"

Nature has something to teach us here. It's telling us: "Not all seeds grow. In life, most seeds never grow. So if you really want to make something happen, you had better try more than once."

This might mean:
· You'll attend twenty interviews to get one job.

· You'll interview forty people to find one good employee.

· You'll talk to fifty people to sell one house, one car, one vacuum cleaner, one insurance policy, or a business idea.

· And you might meet a hundred acquaintances just to find one special friend.

When we understand the "Law of the Seed", we don't get so disappointed. We stop feeling like victims. We learn how to deal with things that happen to us.

Laws of nature are not things to take personally. We just need to understand them - and work with them.

IN A NUTSHELL Successful people fail more often but they plant more seeds.

When Things Are Beyond your control, here's something that you must NOT DO so as to avoid misery in your life:

You must not decide how you think the world SHOULD be.
You must not make rules for how everyone SHOULD behave.
Then, when the world doesn't obey your rules, you get angry.
That's what miserable people do!

On the other hand, let's say you expect that:
Friends SHOULD return favours.
People SHOULD appreciate you.
Planes SHOULD arrive on time.
Everyone SHOULD be honest.
Your husband or best friend SHOULD remember your birthday.

These expectations may sound reasonable. But often, these things won't happen!

So you end up frustrated and disappointed.

There's a better strategy. Demand less, and instead, have preferences!

For things that are beyond your control, tell yourself:
"I would prefer "A", but if "B" happens, it's OK too!"

This is really a change in mindset. It is a shift in attitude, and it gives you more peace of mind ... You prefer that people are polite . but when they are rude, it doesn't ruin your day. You prefer sunshine...but if it rains, it is ok too!

To become happier, we either need to change the world or change our thinking.

It is easier to change our Thinking!

Kar Peng

I had always been on the plump side since I was just a few months old.

Actually, ‘plump’ is an euphemism; I was plain obese from age 0 to 27. Even though the word ‘obese’ just means ‘very overweight’, I’ve come to hate this word intensely because it was branded on me since primary school and with it comes the image of me being grotesque-looking and unwanted by boys, sports teams and society.

(I’m not exaggerating, anyone who’s big-sized will know how difficult it is living in a world that idolizes thinness. Before Dorothy Perkins came along, how to find big-sized clothes?)

In my life, I have never thought that I would ever become slim. I’ve always been really lazy and it comes to a point when there was too much fat to fight. So I began telling myself that it’s alright to be fat, that I’m one of the ‘crusaders’ against this biased world. Sometimes I managed to convince myself.

However, I saw a friend (Angel, aka Wan Joo) lose 15kg in 2 months and I was really amazed. Wan Joo and I were colleagues and we were both not very confident of our looks. I remembered once when we were on the job in a night spot (we were reporters and covering a story about a pub launch), and we started chatting. The conversation came to the point about our clubbing experiences and I realized that we had the same experience of going to clubs, having men come up to talk to us only because they wanted to get to know the SLIM and pretty friend beside us.

Even after witnessing Wan Joo’s weight loss, I was still very cynical. And then before I knew it, Wan Joo helped another of our friends, Geok Hui, lose almost 10kg within one month. I was amazed and I decided that I should do something about it.

Someone I knew (who’s just a tad plumpish) said that she wouldn’t go lose weight because that would be like selling out to the idea that only thin girls are pretty. I agree, but because I was so very overweight, I realize being stubborn and remaining fat would only be detrimental to me and my health. I certainly wasn’t going to ‘自讨苦吃' (doing something that was going to harm myself anyway).

Plus, I was sick of the fact that people don’t see me for the person I am or do not even bother to try to get to know me better just because I was fat.

With Dreams Inc’s help, I did it. I finally lost 29kg and went from 85kg to 56kg! I am never happier and healthier!

With my new-found figure and new-found confidence, I have found someone who loves and appreciate me and we are getting ROM at the end of the year!

PS: I was watching an episode of Villa Wellness the other day and I realized that I have forgotten how it feels like to be fat. I am really thankful to Wan Joo and Dreams Inc.

Germaine- Lost 9kg In 1 Month!

Don’t you just envy people with flawless perfect skin and hour glass figure like Joey Wong (王祖贤)?

I did.

Even though my friends have nicknamed me ‘王祖贤’now, they would NEVER have done that in the past.

I got to know my fiancé Melvin since secondary school. By the time we got together in JC, I was starting to grow larger and larger in size. By 2002 at age 25, I was quite getting quite plump and not at all proud of it.

I wanted so badly to lose weight.
I want to look good and feel confident about myself. It didn’t help that Melvin was a little on the slim side and I so badly want to look good beside him too!

I tried very hard!
I tried very hard to cut down on my diet and went to gym. I went to gym religiously everyday, 6 days per week, 2 hours of strenous exercising, sweating all over.. but there was not much of a difference in my weight and shape.

And then I met Dreams Inc and its group of superheroes! They were friendly, helpful and most importantly, they all looked great! ‘Mr Incredible Maximus’ lost 8kg within 2 weeks and ‘Elastigal Angel’ lost 15kg within 2 months!

With their help, I lost 9kg within 1 month!
As I got slimmer, my skin also became smoother and more radiant! I got healthier and began to find that I am more energetic.

My friends started to comment that I am looking more and more beautiful and as a result, I became much more confident of myself than before!

Unlike my past efforts at weight loss, I have manage to maintain my weight and keep myself in tip top condition since 2002 until now.

Because of the wonderful results I have, I decided to join Dreams Inc and help more people and I am definitely enjoying every minute of it!

Our dream is to build a whole team of handsome and beautiful superheroes!

Angel- Lost 15kg within 2 MONTHS

I was an entertainment reporter and was always around beautiful men and beautiful women. I really envied them and wanted to be like them too.

Alas, I was plump.

When I talked to a particular artiste manager one day and jokingly told her that I would like to become an artiste under her, she looked at me incredulously and said, “You? Lose another 20kg then come and talk to me lah..” Though it was meant as a joke. It hurt me terribly.

I just couldn’t lose the weight!
At my heaviest, I was 75kg on a 165cm frame. Despite trying to lose weight using my different methods (dieting, exercising and even tying strings around my fingers), I found that whenever I stopped doing it, my weight would bounce back fast and I would become fatter than I was when I started out.

Things got really bad when one day, while going out on an assignment with a colleague, an aunty who was sitting beside me pointed to her and asked me, “Your daughter ah?”

Finally, I met a few good mentors who taught me a great way to slim down healthily and naturally.

I lost 15kg in 2 months;
From 70kg, I became 55kg.
From an XL, I became an S/M
From size 14, I dropped to size 8

And I gained a lot more..
Better health,
Better skin
More vitality
More radiance
More confidence
A chance to help more people become like me!

The beauty of it is that I maintained at this weight range for the past 3 years look younger and sexier!

Using the methods that Dreams Inc is currently propagating, I also managed to find a very loving husband and am now happily married with one child.

The Diamond And The Dew Drop

A beautiful diamond that a princess dropped one day lay lost in a meadow. Just above it shone a drop of dew, hanging from a shoot of grass.

The sun made them both shine, and the modest dewdrop admired the noble stone. A large beetle who was passing by recognized in the diamond someone of high origin.

"Sir, I give you homage," the beetle said.

"Thank you," the diamond responded haughtily.

Turning its head, the beetle saw the drop of dew. "One of your relatives I presume?" the beetle said, nodding toward the diamond.

The diamond burst out laughing. "How can you place me on the same level as this vulgar being? Its beauty is only imitation. It shines but it doesn't last."

The beetle was flabbergasted, and the drop of dew felt completely humiliated.

Then a bird flew down and pecked at the diamond.

"Ah no," the bird said, disappointed, "I thought you were a drop of water, but you are only a diamond. My beak is dry, I feel like I'm going to die of thirst."

"Oh well, what's one bird more or less," the diamond laughed again.

But at the same time the dewdrop resolved to help the bird. "Can I be of use to you?" it said.

The bird raised its head. "Oh precious friend, you have saved my life!"

"Come then," said the dewdrop. And the bird drank it up and flew away, revived.

"Here is a lesson I won't soon forget," thought the beetle, continuing on its way.

"Simple merit is worth more than rank or wealth that has no modesty or devotion. There can be no real beauty in that."
