Launch of new SkincareWell, many emailed me and asked me for details about our new skincare range.. well, we will be launching it soon.. probably early June.. so keep your eyes peeled..
WBG has arranged a training for leaders two weekends ago and both Melvin, Germaine and myself have attended it.. we got to try the pdts (REFRESHING!) and also learnt more about it...
For those who are worried about how the sunny weather in Singapore is harmful to our skin, great news for you... During the training, Professor Stephanie (from Singapore Polytechnic) shared with us about our Petalsence..
We learnt two interesting facts about it:
1) Use of Alge in Petalsence pdts
The human race originated as marine animals. As blood plasma and seawater have very similar compositions and the protective membranes of seaweed and algae, thus for algaes to be able to survive in water, they probably possess similar defence, protection and regeneration mechanisms and will also be able to help our skin protect themselves.
During the training, we got to test out the Day Cream, Night Cream and Anti Aging cream and they seem to be absorbed quickly.. with a difference shown easily and quickly! Especially on the older people like.. ahem.. Richie.. hahaha... the difference was really great on his hands… the wrinkles on his hands really look smoother 5 min later after he applied the cream…
2) TTF in Petalsence
TTF is a new technology. It really stands for Thermus Thermophilus Ferment.. This means that when you apply the cream on your skin and go out into the sun, it is a very powerful anti-oxidant and it is heat activated.. the hotter it is, the better the results! Perfect for our weather in Singapore!
TTF allows the ingredients in petalsence to:
- protect and keep skin youthful
- hydrate and keep the skin fresh
- protect skin from harmful UVA rays and Reactive Oxygen Speices
One thing I learnt is that UVA rays and Reactive Oxygen SPeices make your skin age faster and break down your skin molecules.. these damages are irreversible once it happens and it accumulate over time... even if you see nothing now.. you will see it 5, 10 years later... Heng ah! Petalsence skincare protects us from the UVA and has been shown to increase the percentage of moisture in skin even after 24 hours!
Anywayz, I am part of the Skincare committee so i got a trial set of the: Cleanser, Bath wash, Day Care, Age Care, Night Care, Eye gel... after using it for 7 days... I find tat my skin feels cleaner and smoother and more hydrated even though I have had less sleep in the past few days! :)
